Now I'm really confused!!!

Postby pgmrdan » Mon May 23, 2005 8:38 pm

I asked about a book on OxyAcetylene Welding in this forum and it got moved to the Way, Way, Way Off Topic forum. ???

What's way, way, way off topic about welding to repair a Cub? It must be done all the time. Besides, I was just asking for a book title.

It's no more off topic than the thread about sand blasting that is still in this forum.

It's no more off topic than painting and those threads don't get moved.

Makes no sense to me!

What do you think? Did someone screw up?

Thanks,
Dan

Seems to have disappeared over there. I thought it was OK in this forum. Don't know who moved it but you didn't do anything wrong Dan.

I deleted it. That forum isn't where it belonged.

I didn't see anything wrong either. I don't know of any book for what you want other than practice, practice, practice to suplement your "classroom larnin" experience.

I got a lot of help when I was learning gas welding from EAA introductory manuals since it is used a lot building tubing fuselages and fittings. Their library of manuals covered a lot of subjects 40 years ago and I'm sure it has improved since. EAA manuals are oriented toward hobbiests and are focused toward learning, thus the name 'Experimental Aircraft Association'.
