Need some photos

Postby capt jack » Wed May 25, 2005 2:01 pm

I need a couple of photos showing how the big middle plow is hooked to the cubs. I have three of those plows (they look just like the kind we used with the mules and old Maude (plow mare)) and I don't remember what I need to use them. Any help is appreiated.
Thanks
Jack

Capt Jack are you talking about a Disk plow or a mold board plow. John is the one who posted on this last fall.

All three are mold board plows.

Moldboard plows don't mid-mount on a cub.

Perhaps I'm calling them wrong. They look exactually like the one on the main page here. I think it said it was owned by Dan (?) but it is rear mounted and looks just like the three I have here. They have never been used to my knowledge, just came with the tractors. Thanks

Okay Big Dog: Those are the ones. Don't know why but I thought I would blast and paint them and just run one up and down a couple of acres.
They were blue I think.
Thanks again.

Don't sandblast the face of the molboard, it makes it harder for them to scour, so I've found out!

i beleive what he is talking about is a belly mounted moldboard plow. i have one as well.

im sure theres a square piece that slides into the square opening under the steering housing.

also there might be a plate with two holes about 5-6 inches apart. that mounts to the raised oval shaped casting with two corresponding holes below the hydraulic resoivor.

the stuff should mount onto them somehow, just fiddle with it a little, and then there should be an approximately 3 foot long bar that attaches to the hydraulic lift arm.

this all will be on the right side of the tractor looking from behind, around the "belly" area. i hoped this helped :)

ive circled the probable mounting points in red :)
