Completed Another Gas Gauge

Completed another Cub gas gauge this weekend to go my '47:
Now have one on my '48 and my '47.

Now that is too cool. Where'd you get the parts (gauge itself, float, etc) to make it?

Made it from a 1-1/4" plumbing drain slip joint, cork and the metal stiffeners in an old wiper blade. Oh, and paint.
Had started a "How To" this morning, but it got way too long and involved.

awww come on! I really want to build one now! Don't have much to loose since the gas caps are free.

I take it through the hole in the plexi/lens
