Anybody have pics of Clint Carter's brackets or how they look installed on a cub?
Anybody used a Denso alternator?

The Delco alt was what IH used on the new International cubs, they fit fine under the hood
The part # is there for the Alt. I would not use a Denso alt. But that is just my opinion. At $50 plus core charge the Delco single wire is hard to beat, also comes with a life time warranty from NAPA . Clints brackets look very good and has a professional look.

Re: Alternator Info and Pics Needed
I recently put a Delco 10SI alternator on a '48 using the notes on the site. I made my own bracket though. It's a "stacked flat bar" with tabs style that I have seen on here a couple of times (and here I thought I was being original).
Hopefully here in a couple of weeks I'll have the hood on for good and can get that baby spinnin' !
And as far as part numbers. I guess I did get some from the how to articles. But I just went to my local auto parts house and told the guy I needed a 1 wire 10SI alternator. Told him a reman unit was fine as it wasn't going on a new tractor
. And just told him I needed a 12V coil with internal resistor. He had to call someone to get a number for that one, but he had it.

Re: Alternator Info and Pics Needed
Unless you already have the Denso alternator, don't go out specifically looking for one.
There are two popular choices:
1. Delco 10SI
2. Hitachi 14231
The Hitachi is a much easier fit IIRC, requiring only a chunk of 3/8" threaded rod, and no modifications to the mounting bracket other than reaming the holes. Only thing is it's a little more $$$ and harder to find at auto parts stores.
