Interesting Color under Red

Postby PVF1799 » Mon Jun 17, 2013 9:29 am

I was intrigued this weekend when I pulled the manual lift assist spring from the e-tank to find blue paint under the red on the threaded piece on the end of the spring. This seemed a curious find, since to my knowledge, this spring had never been replaced or even off the tractor for that matter.

Perhaps, this piece is also used on the blue implements and was just painted over for the manual lift attachment.

Just wanted to share- Ken

It has been awhile and I do not still have the links, but Jim may be able to help on that. Most of the earlier implements as well as the hand lift were painted blue for the first few years. As you have already learned, the handlift was not part of the tractor, it is in the implement books.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
