Was scratching my head and trying to figure out what was going on untill I noticed the "1979" Didn't realize there was such a big difference in the 1979 version of the TC-37F (Which is revision 6 I believe?) and the TC-37F Revision 4 dated Dec 75 that I have. Group 12 page 5 is a manifold and underslung exhaust on mine. Revision 4 is a "partial revision" of revision 3 from Mar 75 which was a "complete revision". It always annoyed me that there are no engine parts listed in mine, I guess IH fixed that by revision 6. Was there a revision 5?

Does rev 4 have the alternators?

TC-37F Rev 4 - revised and/or supplementary pages Group 8 Electrical - Pages 5, 6, 9 through 45

page 5 has an "ALTERNATOR GENERATOR AND CONNECTIONS" in the left column and a generator in the right column (looks like the same generator picture that's in rev 3). Alternator is part # 1 100 583 and is "-42 AMPER-". No I didn't forget the second E, but IH did  .

page 6 is all generator parts that I can tell.

page 9 is the "ALTERNATOR GENERATOR -DELCO REMEY- -W/INTEGRAL SOLID STATE VOLTAGE REGULATOR-" exploded diagram and parts list for the "ALTERNATOR GENERATOR ASSY -42 AMPERE-"

The rest of the pages are for the starter, lights, and wiring digrams.

So that rev is the first one that captures the changes in the Long Stripe Cub.

Hello all,

Not to beat a drowned horse...the screw for filling the housing, it says at the right horizontal position...is that the carb. side or the started side...? Picture in the manual is pointed down., as if it is to drain the excess.

Thanks!

Right versus left is just like a car. From the way you sit on the tractor, so the carb is on the left. They mention that in the introduction, I think.
