good gas tank cleaner

Postby rexxon » Tue Jul 02, 2013 6:14 pm

Today I tried something that seemed to work better at cleaning the gunk out of a 140 tank, I have tried alot of things before like Napa Carb Cleaner/ Amsoil power foam(which used to work) but today I used a pint of Goof Off and a gallon of Laquer Thinner I could see results right away. Well I kept draining the tank and straining it out a reusing it about a dozen times and the tank came of very clean.

lacquer thinner is what I generally use, to clean carbs and fuel tanks. Dissolves most fuel residue. Ed
