With this Cub, I see possibilities .. especially once everything has been through the E-Tank. Also, as others have said the Universal Mounting Frame is worth $300.00 by itself. The Cub-144 Cultivators if complete are worth a minimum of $300.00 and even if not complete can be parted out for probably more than the $300.00 that she wants for that Cub.

That is a basic principle. Never work on it until you get it home. If that was close to me it would already be in my pole barn at that price. I would have send a wrecker over to deliver it to boot :D

I made the deal for $300 yesterday. I will not be able to pick it up for a few days but I called them and told them they will have the money in a day or so.

I am not sure how many cultivator plows I am going to get with the tractor. So far only 3 have been located, but allegedly there are more at a different location. I am told they will go with the tractor.

When I go to pick it up the only work I will do it will be to free up the trans so I can roll it on the trailer. The tractor owner will not be present when this is done. In fact I have never met her and probably won't. I have done the deal through her grandson who is one of my best friends and next door neighbor. He will go with me to pick it up.

Thanks for all of the advice and counsel. I will no doubt have lots of questions once I get it and start going through it.

Ken

Ken:

Congrats :applause: on becoming the latest member of the MCC! :D . Post pics and remember to send the serial numbers of the Cub (when you can figure out what it is - maybe use graphite to raise the stampings) and engine along with the casting codes to RaymondDurban for the Database ok?

Glad you got it. Looks like a good value for $300, and you probably helped out an old lady that could use the money.
