Lost Cub Found--& Help with wheels!

Postby Galla Creek Arky » Tue May 31, 2005 7:59 pm

I need some input on rear and front replacement wheels for my cub--
just in case my come back--in a 3 lb. coffee can--from the sand
blaster.

Wanted to share the picture of this cub I spotted under an old shed. I
have heard that it has not been started in 11 years. I am trying to talk
the elderly lady who owns it into selling. It belonged to her late husband.

I posted more pictures of it in my Cub picture folder--under cubfound
if anyone wants to see more of it.

Someone give me an idea about my wheels.

Finds like that can be great. My 48 came form a distant relative under similar circumstanes about 18 years ago.

for wheels might try http://www.jptractorsalvage.com, http://www.tmtractor.com or email Rod Rippee <rip@charterinternet.com>
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

One of my '53s (Scruffy is also a '53) was found partly buried in the sand where it was parked before the owner died... 22 years before. Naturally the rims were badly rusted and I had to take a set of wheels along so I could load it.

After I got it home I went to work on it right away. I drove it out to get the mail the next day! :D

My friend who helped me bring her home named her... Sandy.

Here she is after a little sprucing up. The front wheels are from a two wheeled garden tractor... the same exact wheel. The rear rims are from Miller Tire.

Sandy is a pretty little thing.
Take a little time to play, you don't grow old as fast that way.
