Wheel Spacing Made Easy!

The recent post about some people not understanding the drawing in the manual got me thinking. Sometime back somebody was going to post pix of all the wheels as they would look in the different positions. I don't recall who it was anymore so I took the ball and ran with it.

I hope these help anyone who may be confused. They are all to be looked at as if it is the outside of the wheel.

They look the same on left and right sides. The pix show the position of the dish.

He showed them as you would see them standing to the side and looking toward the tractor.

It is turned in just as the picture shows and what it says in the manual.

dish in, which is the way 90 % of the cubs are set up, the dish out is for the wider spacing.

As usual, kudos to Barnyard!

I have two questions:
1. Which pic was off the factory orientation?
2. Aren't there at least two more orientations; 1rst two pics with centers oriented same direction but centers assembled from outside of rims? Or, won't they fit on a cub like that?

Dave if you move the center behind the lug in this pic you would be moving it 2". Times two wheels that would be 4" for a 36" width. That would not work on a Cub.

On this one, by moving it inside it looks like you would end up with 40", the same as the top one.

Thanks for making this clear Bill. This might be a good one for the cub library -so to speak.
Dave
ps 1rst pic was typical factory assembly then?

Look again Roy. Take note of where the lug is positioned. On the top pic it is on the front edge of the rim. On the bottom pic it is on the back edge.

I would say that the factory setting would have been 40". They could fit more on a rail car when shipping them.
