Am a brand new member, and new proud owner of a 49 Cub.came with a restored plow that was described as a 193..but it has a LEFT handed plow on it.Did Farmall EVER make a left handed plow available for the 193,or do I actually have the left hand part of a 189.

Welcome. You have half of a 189 two-way plow.

Won't work worth a hoot if it isn't mounted correctly. Does it have all the hardware for a 189?

It looks exactly like a 193 except the plow is on the left, and the notched coulter is on the right.Height adjustment lever is complete, and tractor has the standard implement raising lever ( non-hydraulic )

Assuming you do have all the 193 parts, where do you mount the left hand plow? On the right side where the 193 would normally mount; good luck getting a wheel in the furrow to get the correct angle on the plow and any depth at all.
Put it on the left side where it would go with a 189 and no dogbone on that side of the drawbar (one on the right for a 193, 189 would have one on each side) and you could get some twisting of the drawbar but it will be easier to get a wheel in a furrow. You'd also be running your blind wheel in the furrow. Can be done but not ideal.
Personally I would look for a 193 plow. Just the beam and plow can be had pretty cheap. I would also keep an eye out for a 189 setup that's missing the left hand plow.

Thanks so much for the input..I agree that the best approach wold be to look for the 193 and not try to re-invent plowing.

Should not be a big deal other than getting used to going the wrong way when plowing. Look at the pictures on TM Tractors site and mount it the way it shows the left hand plow mounted to the drawbar (left side of the drawbar). You probably do not have the latch system, but can use it normally, the lift and depth lever will work the same.

The big problem I can see is that if you are plowing sod the right wheel will be running on the grass, and since the right side is lighter than the left it may tend to spin on the grass. In a garden that probably will not be a problem.

I'm sure that there are folks out there who are DYING to have the left-hand plow for their 189 due to loss over the years. You might be further ahead to place a classified ad on the forum to try to sell or trade your left hand plow for a proper 193 plow. I am assuming ( we know how bad that is) that the part that usually goes into the tractor-mounted latch mechanism is still on the plow? If not, that part should be easy for someone to fabricate if need be. You would sell the plow beam parts only...keep the rest of the system to go with a 193 without depth control that you would pick up at a later date...

Do you have the depth control that connects to the drawbar on both sides?

If so you are good to go plowing the "wrong way."

i have the left hand half of a plow as well, i actually drug mine under the tractor and and bolted it on to the right and stood back to admire my handi work with a  . at that point i dawned on me  and i had to unbolt it and move it. I also only have the one dog bone on the depth control and it works fine. my share is dull so sometimes the drawbar digs into the ground but that has nothing to do with being left handed. i do have wheel weights.
