Y'all can relax now

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Tue Nov 05, 2013 10:15 am

Due to health problems I have asked Dennis to permanently remove me from moderator duties effective Fri. Nov. 8. Now when I harass someone rather than "abuse of power" it will just be abuse. Which means that, Scrivet, it is time for you and I to have a talk about respecting your elders. As I told my son once, you can either learn to respect your elders or fear them, the choice is yours. :)):

In reality, the members here have made my job pretty easy for the most part. As some of the long time members may have noticed, I have not been posting near as much on the forum the last couple years as I used to, which is due to my failing memory and being afraid of posting incorrect information. In addition to that, we now have a lot of members with as much and more knowledge than mine, so I leave it to them most of the time.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

John,

Thank you so much for all you have done (and will continue to do) for the forum. I am so glad that I got to meet you in person and enjoy your company. God bless you, my friend.

Thanks for all your guidance and support, it has been much appreciated!
Hopefully not having to keep your professional cool in dealing with Scrivet will lend some relief to your health issues. :D

One time John was at my brothers helping me unload something or other off the trailer with the Farmall H and loader. We were discussing how to route the chains and what to hook on to to keep it level and all and were having a mild difference of opinion. John looked at me at said "Well we'll try that, it's not like we're handling nuclear weapons." I looked up at him and said (truthfully), "But John, I did handle nuclear weapons when I was in the Navy." He sort of slumped and just shook his head. :||):

Inscription that I found on a granite bench along a steep trail said "Rest here friend". Thanks John. I have only been a member here for a short time, but you were one of the first to guide me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You deserve a rest. :thanx:

John once posted his age and I must say that this a sad turn of events for such a youngster-- comparatively speaking. John has always had kind words, especially in the phone conversation we once had.

John --- you can't go nowhere, you're too much fun. There ain't nothing wrong with your memory -- A forgetful moment, right in the middle of a subject you're talking about, or just where you laid that object when you got through with it, is normal for those folks for our age. If you come out of a store and forget where you parked --no problem. The problem starts when you forget why you came out of the store.
Enjoy your comments, and time meeting you.
