Getting blades off 42 C-4 Mower

This has got me stomped. I am trying to take off the quick release (ha ha - this is a gimick) blades off the Woods 42-C-4. I took out the threaded bolt, but can't get anything else released (the pin is still installed). What are the next steps?

Spray some Kroil or WD 40 on the pin and wiggle the blade around some. The pin should drop right out. Tap on it lightly to loosen it.

soak the pin with penetraitng oil, then support the end of the blades so it is not binding the pin. the pin should just tap up and out.

I would think the procedure would be in the Woods 42C-4 Mower Manual. I hope it helps.

OOPS - you're right John. The pin goes up, not down. Been a while since I've changed a blade.
