Christmas Cub delivers

The "Christmas Cub" (the grown-up Farmall version of santa) made an early delivery today.
Two floor mats from Tractor Supply (all they had in stock).
I can already hear the fighting between the Cubs on who gets to wear them.

Being 14"x17", that should fit fine on a Cub. Great idea and oh! Merry Christmas!!

They do fit nice...and look great....BUT you will find that they need something to hold them down from moving and getting tangled in your feet...you will see what I am talking about...let us know what solution you come up with...

A stove bolt with fender washers through one of the mystery holes might work. Paint it black.

You could also use the two threaded holes that hold the crank clips.

I wouldn't screw it down, it may do more harm than good, trapping dirt and moisture.

A dob of silicon under the front & back, worked for me

Nice idea. Sometimes I wear the slip on spikes over my shoes when I'm outside plowing and cleaning up. Too many times I got on the tractor and forgot I was wearing them and I've made a mess out of the platform. The mat would take care of that. Thanks for the post.

How about a couple of spring clamps like this to hold it down: Image

Interesting...The mat that came on my loader has never moved since I got it.

Indy, I was thinking that instead of bolting them down, you could put two of the spring clips on the front of platform to keep the mat from sliding around. It would still be easily removeable to clean underneath the mat.

Would velcro tape work for this?

Thanks for the heads up on the Farmall mats ! I ran to our local TSC and they had just two left which equals the number of CUB tractors that I own. They do need the be fastened down somehow though.
