Winter Time Fun!!

Well the snow is falling and I got to exercise the Cub today. The big chill isn't here yet but should be here tonight. Temps in the 20's right now and they are calling for about 18" of snow today and tonight. We went to Church this morning and there was about 8" of snow on the ground. After Church we had a birthday party to go to. When we got home and it took two attempts to get up the driveway and into the garage.
I fired up the Cub and started pushing snow which was about 10" deep but kind of heavy. I have two driveways here at my place. My short concrete drive goes to our attached 2 car garage and the long gravel drive goes back to the barn. While pushing the snow on the short drive I was getting some wheel slippage. I have chains and 2 sets of weights on the rear wheels. Before working on the long driveway I went back to the barn and added another 250 of weight to the drawbar. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=66190&hilit=+weight
The added weight really cut down on the slippage and really helped the Cub push the heavy snow. I've got piles of snow hood high all over the place. I was out there for 3 hrs pushing snow and if it keeps snowing I might have to go out again before I go to bed. You know, there are better, more efficient ways to move snow but none near as fun as doing it with my Cub!! Every time I see someone drive by with a plow mounted on their truck I can't help but think that, yeah, you might move more snow than me in a given amount of time but I know you aren't having as much fun as me!!!
