Thanks everyone for the kind words! No way we could have done it without all of you!,,, we really appreciate. She really worked hard on it and just has that natural ability, patience, and tenacity to do things like restorations. Not sure what're are gonna do for the2014 project yet but she is considering a lo-boy. Hope my wallet can stand it!!!!

Re: Daughters 50 cub wins second
Oh yes, wanted to ad that the first place winner was an Allis Chalmers G that was very nice. It won out over our Cub due to degree of difficulty. They had to completely rebuild all the internals on the engine and transmission. The kid was very very knowledgable about the mechanics on his tractor, understood how to measure for gear backlash, etc. Since Cubs are so reliable (as we all know), all we had to do was freshen up the motor a little bit. Hate to admit it but I think they made the right call with their judging. Made me feel good when my daughter was the first one to congratulate the kid on winning and admitted that she humbly agreed with the decision

In that case maybe I could adopt her as a grand daughter, I have a 47 with a loader that could use some TLC.Scrivet wrote:I seriously doubt Joann would let you do that!John *.?-!.* cub owner wrote:If I were a bout 50 years younger I would be trying to date a young lady that could do that kind of work.

Re: Daughters 50 cub wins second
Thanks again everyone! She is looking for another project now. Hoping to find so,done who is willing to donate or sell something very cheap! She has been saving her money to do another 4h resto project but as we all know, these projects get expensive quick! Thinking about doing a farmall f12 or maybe a lo boy. If anyone has something or knows of anything, please pm info. Really appreciate all the kind words and support!!!!
