I seen Curtis, spreader below, very nice job by the way.

I like the color scheme. My sister has one that I need to get to some year, and that is how she probably wants it painted. Though I doubt we will ever use it as you did. Got an old John Deere for that.
Last fall we picked up another, real rough for parts but had real good rims. Those are odd off set rims and hard to find. Any way it had never been repainted and the rims are the implement blue, which I had never heard of. I had just known of them being red or cream. It might be an older spreader one of the first? I asked my sister if we could paint hers that way be she kind of likes the cream colored rims. We will see.
Any way I thought you all would get a kick out of my sisters spreader in our 2012 Christmas parade. My sisters came up with the decorating ideas. I am diving her 55 cub with her and one of my nephews in the spreader tossing candy.
Thanks,
Russel

Looks like you had a good time in the parade. I don't recall ever seeing anything that suggested the rims came from the factory painted blue.

Wow, your spreader would be a great one to restore, I basically bought a set of wheels, gears, apron, and the front end, the rest was so far gone I replaced all the sheet metal and angle iron. To the best of my understanding the wheels were cream and the hubs and apron were blue.

That sound like the parts one we bought. But yes the rims are blue, and as my memory serves, I can't get outside yet due to my knees to confirm, the hubs are blue, parts of the gears and assemblies under the rear shields are blue, and I believe even the beaters and spreader on the back is blue. I would imagine the apron was blue but I don't remember finding any paint let on it, pretty rusty.
