OIL FILTER ORIENTATION

Postby vwfish » Thu Feb 20, 2014 7:36 pm

Got a new filter today and as I trust nothing the PO did, I need to know which way it goes in.
One end is straight with a slight taper. The other end has a noticeable reduction in size at the end. Which end goes down into the filter canister?

Try putting the bolt through the filter and it will become quite obvious. :D
Tapered end down.
