Final Drive Bolt Sizes
Could someone tell me the size and length of the bolts that go in the Final Drive on a 1951 Cub? The ones that tie the drive into the frame.

Go to the Parts Manuals at the "Manuals" link at the top of the page.

Re: Final Drive Bolt Sizes
The thread size is 5/8-11. The rear bolts are shorter than are those for the front. None of my tractors are near the computer.
Edit:
Sorry about that. My goof for reading in a hurry.

Re: Final Drive Bolt Sizes
The implement bolts are 5/8"-11, and all the holes are the same regardless of front or back (finals are interchangeable left or right).
The bolts used to hold the axle housing onto the transmission on the left side can be found in the link below, although there appears to be an error with the quantities ( item 8 ), 2 ea 3/8"-16nc x 1" and 4 ea 3/8"-16 x 1 1/2" :

Re: Final Drive Bolt Sizes
They also have tapered heads to lock the implements in place.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Re: Final Drive Bolt Sizes
Oops, I did not get tapered head bolts when I went to Tractor Supply and got my bolts today. Oh well.
Thanks for all the help.

Re: Final Drive Bolt Sizes
You don't use tapered bolts on the ones you were asking about. Only on the implement bolts
