John, Thanks. Like many here, I use Loctite in various colors, and for different applications. On a spring powered air rifle, I found that small screws were getting rattled and were backing out and ruining sighting. Loctite did the trick, but then I had to remove some of the screws for some modifications...and they would not budge. A telephone call to Loctite brought me the answer -- instantly -- which, as the aging process works on me, I've forgotten. But it was some sort of shop or household chemical that, when painted on to the treads, ate the Loctite. Heat wasn't feasible because of sensitive parts. I didn't find this described in a quick overview of the Loctite document, so thought I'd mention that a call to Loctite can, when needed, solve problems.
