I acquired this "part" when I purchased my Cub. It was painted yellow, as is my dozer/snow blade, before I cleaned it. I have searched all the manuals I have and have tried to place it on the blade to no avail. The bolt is 12" long and slides into the 8" tube. Any info would be appreciated.

A 12 inch bolt is used to attach the blade to the bolster of the tracor. I've never seen one with a sleeve. There should have been 2 square blocks with holes in them that go into the bolster that the bolt goes thru.

I would bet it's somebodies work around for not having those blocks. 8" sounds about right for the depth of the square hole in the bolster, maybe a couple big washers outside each end of the square tube/sleeve? Guess that sleeve would work better than nothing...............

I'm thinking the same thing since I can't find the bolt with the two square blocks. Plus the six evenly spaced weld build-ups on the sleeve lead me to believe that this was a "special made" device.

I found what appears to be the place for this part. Not sure of it's purpose because I can't visualize how the blade assembly attaches to the tractor, even with the help of the manuals. As a whole it is jut too heavy for me to man-handle it to see where it is suppose to mount to the tractor, in front or under the belly. So my plan is to break it into smaller pieces.

Thanks for the invitation, Barnyard. I don't know if my trailer will be ready by then but if not, my wife and I will drive up there just to visit.

Don, are you saying that this blade won't fit on my cub? Tell me it ain't so!

Larry. the Loboy blade will work on a regular Cub but not vise-versa.

I hope to see you and your wife here in May. Even without your Cub we can still give you some great advice about it. If you can, please try to join us both days. If you camp that is even better (we will be sitting around the fire at night) although many will be staying at our local motels!

The round tube slides into the square socket under the front end of the tractor. It is not the correct part, as others have stated. The welds are to prevent the round tube from turning in the square socket.
