What is the proper size pto pulley for this size mower. I have yet to get a definitive answer and I have searched the web for hours.

Well all you had to do is look in Rudi's Manuals above. http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/OEM%20 ... %20Cub.pdf It's listed down in the parts breakdown.

I looked and never saw a size. Maybe I'm just illiterate this week.

Re: Woods 59-C2
Unless I read the manual incorrectly, it says it takes a 1BK61H sheave. The 61 in the part number indicates 6.1-inches.

Re: Woods 59-C2
LeeC is right, it's sort of coded into the part number.
BK 6.1H (3493) which is 6.1" diameter, H hub. I just measured mine and it's 6 7/16" outside diameter and the 6.1" is the spot a 5/8" (B series) belt would run. You would need the H style hub as well which is Cub specific because of the unique size and spline of the PTO shaft and is available through Woods dealers or used. McMaster Carr has the pulley (but not the hub) part number 6407A26, on this link http://www.mcmaster.com/#v-belt-pulleys/=rxm3w5, this link describes the sizing. Shop around for pricing but they all seem to run around the same money.LeeC wrote:it takes a 1BK61H sheave

Re: Woods 59-C2
That is quite the process. Seems easier and use less ink to say 6 7/16". So are the splines not a normal spline or how it sits in the pulley are different.

Well, the size and the splines are pretty specific to and normal for a Cub, I believe the hub needs to fit a 15/16" 10 spline shaft . How the hub fits the pulley and the PTO shaft is normal as compared to any other hub and pulley on a shaft.

One would think. Some things are not always as straight forward as they seem at first glance. There have been some amazingly detailed posts on this site about Cubs and Cub related topics, a pretty basic tractor. ...and I'm not really a stickler for details.

Or you can buy the hub through a Woods dealer (p/n 1506). Messicks lists them for $21.07

Offrink - Here's is a link to Messicks for the exact Woods pulley you need... http://www.messicks.com/partsearch.aspx?pn=3493&ven=wo
Listed in the above post is the hub you would need. Both the hubs and the pulley are brand new.

Re: Woods 59-C2
As I am buying all new bolts and getting a pulley I noticed an issue. The point that the main support, by the drawbar, where it connects to the tractor, the bolt holes are to small and to wide apart for my '50 fcub. Should I just drill out the bolt holes on the support? Also what are the dimensions of the bolts for the drawbar?

Re: Woods 59-C2
PUT DOWN THE DRILL!!!!!!! Let's find out what is wrong or missing first then if needed you can drill. Not sure which holes you are refering to but it sounds like the two on each end of the mule drive. If so they don't bolt to the tractor. They clamp onto the drawbar brackets. Take a look at this page from Rudi's manuals. Look at Bolt #68, washer #69, nut #70, and bracket #19.
If this is it #19 goes outside (tire side) of the drawbar brackets and the mule drive #20 fits between them. The bolts and #19 clamp the mule drive onto the drawbar brackets.

I knew somewhere there was a decent picture of how they mount. Scroll down to Buzzard Wings pictures.
