Pssibly silly question,

Postby Alan Gee » Tue Jul 08, 2014 7:49 pm

I took off the hood/gas tank assembly and started to take off the many layers of old paint. I noticed two holes in the hood on the right side just over where the Farmall logo sits. Any idea what they are for ? I thought cooling ?? the sides are open what more would two 3/4 inch holes do ?

Ha Ha ha,, I figured they had to be there for a reason. After I got the hood/tank off I got a good look at the generator. It looks like the former owner never took advantage of the holes. Both oil caps were crusted over and bone dry inside. I pumped a bit of 30 wt in each and crossed my fingers. Time will tell. Thanks guys.

The squeaky wheel may get the grease but it's usually the first to be replaced!
