I posted for Ed, these pictures of an distributor he's working on…I'm sure he will explain more in detail….Super Glue confabbed to replace the bracket and screw...

And my reply would be, maybe the PO had chubby fingers and a hand full of doughnuts and picked the easiest way….Dave :bellylaugh:

Condenser was glued into place. Luckily,, the installer didn't clean the surfaces well, so it pried off,, without too much effort. A little scraping, took off the remainder. All this, because he lost the screw? Every time I think I've seen all they can mess up I'm proven wrong!

Those little screws are a PIA..... the last time I cracked open a distributor I put a pertronics electronic ignition in it! Much easier to set the points...... just depends on how big the opening in the trash can is :lol:

Looks like liquids nails, still better than stripping the threads on that plate with the wrong screw.
