Guys
I have to R&R the 1st & R shifter fork - it broke at the bend
Its been a while since I've had one apart . . .
does the rail pin slide out of the way enough to remove and then
reinstall the fork?? I tried to slide it backward & not enough travel
( yes I did keep the ball from escaping down in the trans )
Howard
P.S. it's been a while since I've been on the forum - the cubs are getting a work out being
we have many acres to work

Re: Transmission shifter fork
just slide the pin rearward, it will still stick out an inch or so, plenty of room to swap out the fork

Re: Transmission shifter fork
I did slide it rearward until it sounded like it bottomed while the front of the pin was still engaged in the housing . . .. will try again & look in the manual . .

Re: Transmission shifter fork
check and see if the pin has a burr on it where the bolt pinches the fork, it can get stuck on the burr and will not slide through the case
