Good morning!
I am replacing the governor seal and looking for ideas on what to use to drive the seal home. I don't have a socket that big. Open for suggestions.
Thank You!

Re: Governor seal
Piece of pipe or pipe coupler, near right diameter, would work, If you have access to a wood lathe, turning a hardwood dowel, the right diameter, would "get r done".

Earl Fauble, a forum member, makes a tool specifically to simplify installation of the magneto governor seal. It makes installation much easier and is designed to drive the seal the exact depth required. You can purchase one by sending a PM to "Earl".

The smaller diameter is planned to 23/32" and turned on a lathe to just smaller than the seal, and the larger diameter is a bit larger than the seal so that it hits the block and forces the seal to the proper depth. The center marks from the lathe marked the perfect center to drill and bolt them together.
