Hi again! PTO end of clutch drive shaft is shot. checking replacements found two different sizes forty two&quarter and forty two and three eights. So whats the difference? would like to know before ordering parts and splitting tractor only to find out have the wrong one Thanks in Advance Steve.

I don't believe there is any difference. Some of the aftermarket replacement shafts were a tad shorter than originals. Either one will work.

Thanks, Bigdog didn't want to order longer one and have it interfere with pto shaft. maybe longer one will be a little closer to pto stub to ease engagement of shift collar thanks.
