Farmall Cub's in Hollywood

Postby Alan Gee » Tue Dec 09, 2014 8:44 am

Watching old re-runs on TV the other night I see that the comedy show " MAR'S ATTACKS " is on so I put it on.
In the very first few minutes of it I see a fellow riding down a country road on a what looks like a pre 1950 Farmall Cub. He stops to talk with a fellow about the smell of a cook out in the area.

Cubs (and other Farmalls) show up in several films. In "The Day the Earth Stood Still" a cub is seen mowing in the opening scenes.
In "A Christmas Story" floats are being pulled by H's in the parade.

You see them in comercials too. Geico had a super C pulling a float and I think it was a Wendies comercial that had a yellow and white cub in in a barn in the back ground.

There are several shots of a Farmall A in "Grumpy Old Men".

Denny,

I didn't think you were grumpy, however, that may because I haven't talked to Candy. :) :)

Talk about grumpy old men, what is the normal age for a Cub owner?

Something to think about. I don't dare reply to it since the data is not up to date.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I don't think there are any "normal" Cub owners. Just ask their wives. John

we are normal, it is the rest of the world that is off.
