Mowing this evening
It was very warm this afternoon but I needed to get on with the mowing.
Turned out to be rather nice and I spent 3 hrs in the seat!
Just me and my Cub
Paula did a great job with the pictures now I think she likes my camera

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

LOVE THAT MOWIN PHOTO Ron ...From the looks of your rain cap, I'd say you're Cub is hummin' right along...just bearly under a load!

Country, I'm still tweaking on it a bit now and then but yes it is doing pretty good Got to move the seat back a bit and it will be a little more comfortable.
Now I could go for a ice cold glass of cider after I finished mowing....it just wouldn't get any better!! The press is next in line before I start on my other cub (Rosie)

Brian, How true! I drive almost into Atlanta to work and when I get home it's nice to just jump (or crawl) on to Little Red and at the touch of the started rod fire him up and just mow. Clears your mind of the days clutter.

Well we FINALLY started getting our summer rain. Had .85 yesterday and .25 so far this evening.....maybe more on the way
I also enjoy the mowing with the Woods 42. I have not mowed with the larger 59 decks, but the guys I talk to all say its too much for the Cub. Also like the easy maintenance of the 42. AND the cutting is very smooth...the finished cut is nice.
Sure hope the bermuda greens up soon so i can mow too...ooops its raining again now
I'de like to find one of those white pith helmets to mow in
If you ever have any doubts about whether or not to mow...always choose mowing

I remember there was a pith helment with an IH decal on the front of it at my grandfathers farm many years ago, don't know what ever happened to it. Last week I had an IH and Cub logo put on my white hard hat. Cost about 5 bucks for that and my name on the back. Now I just need a loader and backhoe LOL !

Hi Kodiak, Paula is just great with her lens, I like the low angle in both shots, gives the little tractor a certain standing.
You have land next to the railway like us. We are on the Brest to Quimper line with 12 trains a day, just one or two coaches that's all.
We have two crossing keeper's cottages on the line, one is converted into a nice modern house (my trade) the other is our workshop for work and play. They are a km apart (.6 of a mile) by rail 1.5km by road.
In fact the first train of the day, 6.30 am has just passed and the second will be around in a minute or so. Very good alarm clock.
Is yours a main line or a backwater?
Apart from that keep on cubbing, look forward to many years of trouble free mowing, thanks for the pictures.
