I live in Saginaw, Michigan. Every gas station was packed with 20 min. waits yesterday. Seems a Walmart station, which is not opened yet, testing their new sign put a $3.00 something price on gas, this was Sat. Someone saw this and reported it to a local radio station. This started a local panic, there was no three dollar a gallon price, but people sure responed. Ted

Carl: We drive a 40' motor coach that weighs 37 thousand and the graphics trailer is 35' and weighs 11,000. We are in the coach most of the year going from show to show...at 3 or 4 miles to the gallon...guess what the fuel bill is? We just have to adjust the pricing to fit the fuel bill.

Low 2.40's around here in RI.
I will shed (even more) tears when the pumps that stop at $50 stop twice during a fill-up.
On the way to fetch the Cub in TN I used Gasbuddy.com to plan the stops. 38 gallons is not a whole lot when you get 12-14 MPG, but at least you do better if you know the prices. I found they are not consistent for the cheapest. Suppose it is another ploy by the MAN to hold us down (or at least extract their portion from our wallets).

My round-trip commute to work each day is about 95 miles, so I drive a pretty economical commuter vehicle (Plymouth Neon). I use to joke that the only way I could get $20 worth of gas in that thing was to squirt it in the back seat. Now, that's the rule more than the exception.
Getting 30 mpg is worth trying to squeeze my 6'3", 300 pound frame into a car that is only slightly bigger than my son's cozy coupe... I think.
Regular unleaded is about $2.10/gal here. Heard on the radio that the cheapest gas in the country right now was in Lancaster, Ohio, about 25 miles from here. Something like $1.89. Too bad it would take about 2 gallons to get there and back.
