I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Jackman - yes indeed. The plow is connected to the right steering arm. John can explain it better than I can.

Jackma, yes it connects to the steering. The trail wheel is weighted to prenet the plow pushing you sideways, and it also stters via an arm connted to the right front wheel. quite an interesting setup. It's the only one I've ver seen except for one passing through town on a truck oneday.
Kodiak, the photographer tkaing pictures for the Red Power roundup book had me wait while he tok a closeup of the "I don't do HURRY UP well sticker you made me. He got a big kick out of that, as well as many others did. I still say it is more descriptve of me than the cub.
I was at the demonstration ground looking at an unusual 3 disk plow on a 760. It was a 2 way plow that when you pulled a hydrlalic lever the disks shifted from the left ide to the left side, traile wheel turned over, depth wheel on one side went up and the other one came down, etc. The guy was having trouble getting it to plow right, and it was pusshing him around pretty badly (that soil is different tha our Mo. clay, and truned quite a bit harder). I heard one of the men there say he used to have a cub, but they wouldn't plow more than an inch or 2 deep, and weren't much good for anything but mowing. Kind of like saying sickem to a dog.
I went and got Missy. when I showed up, some of the guys there wer makeing various comments about me thinking a cub would plow. When I started my second round and they looked at the furrow, all the jokles and comments about a cub not being able to plow came to an end. Later on I had a cople peoplw say they wanted to see it plowing. think I generated some interest in cub plows, as well as some respect. Of coures I had a grin a foot wide on my face.

Well done John, preserveing the well won status of the Cub as a good allrounder.
Ploughing like many other trades needs experience and savvy, how to set the plough for different soils, angle, level.....
Well done the "official" photographer to the board Kodiak, as ever good work, do you mind if we save some of your photos to disk?
Pat
