cultivator extension

Postby Eoghan » Mon Mar 30, 2015 8:25 am

hey guys, I'm trying to get myself some of those extension bars you use to mount tools closer to the center of the row.. I can find the bars themselves from ebay and others, but i'm wondering if anyone knows a source for the clamp that holds them in place under the main front tool bars? it's two bolts and a piece of iron with a triangular shape cut out.. I've seen them for sale with the toolbars, but I just need the clamp! maybe i can make something...

Do you mean a wedge clamp? http://www.agrisupply.com/cultivator-we ... t/p/60878/
Not sure about the quality of these.

Or do you mean this: a tool bar clamp.

I noticed these 28 256 B Tool Bar Extension Clamps for sale on Ebay:

Availability depends on just how bad you really want them  .

Around here a full set of cultivators can bring $500 to $600. $20 doesn't seem out of line.

I just paid $350 for a complete set in pretty good shape, Couple little things need attention. But $20 bucks for that arm does not seem too bad. You'd have that in steel if you could fabricate your own.

By quirk of circumstance, I checked out some of this person's ebay ads. I also looked them up on the internet and found out they are about 10 miles from me as the crow flies. He's worked with me several times to help me work through my 144 universal mounting frame troubles.

He has trailer loads of Cub and other tractor parts. He tries to help out as much as he can.

He even lurks here on this website.

I'm glad I met him.
