Hi all! I recently purchased a snow blade for $250. I'm not sure what they go for, but didn't want to pass on the opportunity to get one. It's pretty rusty and one of the rods was fabricated out of angle iron because it was missing. I need to replace a couple bolts too. Was that a fair price?
The same guy has a rear rockshaft and wheel weights that I'm interested in but I don't know what they go for either. Can someone give me a ball park figure?
Thanks!

I'm not sure what that is, but don't think so. It just has a rod from the hydraulics to the rockshaft.

The lift rod is the rod from the hydraulics to the rockshaft.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

No need to think about value of blade since it's a done deal.
A rear rockshaft goes for about 70-100. The lift rod that goes from hydraulics to rear rockshaft in the neighborhood of 50. That is if everything in good condition. Rear weights 70-100. I didn't check to see where you are, but location can make a difference.

Thank you tmays! I appreciate the help. The parts belong to the son a fellow that bought a cultivator from me. He has to ask his son if he wants to part with them, but he's pretty sure he does. He's supposed to give me a call in a day or two. He's a real nice retired guy. I'll make him a fair offer. These parts are on a heavily rusted 1949 Cub in southern Ohio.

Re: Implement price help please
For pricing you can check out JP Tractor, a site sponsor, link at the bottom of the page. They have rear weights for $65 a pair. Rear rockshaft bracket and rod for $145. You might get an extra charge for having to lick all the stamps it's going to take to mail them to you though.
(Does the post office even use stamps you have to lick anymore? )
As for the snow blade, the fabricated angle iron or the rust isn't a concern for me, if it's all there, useable, and doesn't have more welds than steel, I think the $250 is a fair price. No way you could make one for that.

Re: Implement price help please
Thanks guys!
Scrivet, I haven't licked a stamp in probably 10 or more years. Haha! I was thinking $250 was fair for the blade, so I didn't counter offer. My trust level went up a notch with this old timer. He's a real cool guy and has a ton of old tractor stuff. Lots of hit n miss engines and 2 wheel tractors also. He said he's going to have to live to 300 to get them all restored.
Ketcham, I'm pretty much a cheapskate too. I have to be, I have 4 hungry mouths to feed. I rarely buy anything new. I'm always looking for a way to get something I need cheaper.
