Did all yellow cubs have 12 volt electrical systems?

No. The change to 12 volts was at Farmall 224401 and Lo-Boy 18701 (1964). Yellow ones before that were 6 volt.

From Raymond Durban's database: (1964) at 224705 change to yellow/white was made. (1975) at 248125 12v gen was replaced by alternator.

The default color for Lo-Boys was changed to yellow in August 1960. Both models could be ordered in yellow long before 1964. I agree with Boss's statement about yellow/white Cubs, as confirmed by Raymond's database.
