If it were that easy! Depends on the version of Woods 59. The 59CL-1 and 59CL-2 take a 4152. The 59CL-3 and 59CL-4 take a 3492. --Lee

Thanks Lee. I can't find the model number on it, just woods 59. Here is a photo of it. Can you tell from the photo the model number.

If I had to guess, it is the latter version. Hard to tell from the picture as most of the differences are in the left arm area. This manual will show you the differences. http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/download.php?fname=./files/OEM%20Implement%20and%20Attachment%20Manuals%20and%20Brochures/Woods%20Mowers/Woods%2059CL-4%2059CLF-4.pdf

The model number is easily found by looking on a metal tag on the PTO belt cover. Finding that cover might be the problem though. That tag mounting location has to be the worst idea Woods ever had. :( I'll bet there's not 1 in 5 that still have that cover with the mower.

Not trying to steal this thread, but...

I have a PTO cover and the model is just 59CL and the SN is 0009895. I must be one of the lucky "1 in 5" that Scrivet mentioned!

Is this really a 59CL-1, but Woods had not come out with the -2 model yet so there is no suffix?

One more question. This mower is on a lowboy with fast hitch. Shouldn't the model be 59CLF? I wonder if this PTO cover is not original to my mower.

(Edited)

I just noticed this in the 59CLF-4 manual:

Key For Number Used Columns
A Serial Number 100 through 306 (59CL-1) C Serial Number 479 through 822 (59CL-3 & 59CLF-3)
B Serial Number 307 through 478 (59CL-2) D Serial Number 823 and up (59CL-4 & 59CLF-4)

So, do I have a 59CLF-4 since the SN is 9895 ?

Thanks for the woods mower manual link Lee. It was very helpful. I have the same Idler bracket and mounting assembly as the 59CL-4 but my tractor is also equipped with a fasthitch.
Another belt size problem. This time IH deck. So after the mower belt went on the cub loboy offest I figured I'd just hop on my 184 loboy and finish mowing. It still had the snowplow on so a change was made form snowplow to mower deck and I finished the job. I did notice my deck belt on the IH deck was a little taddered and could use a belt replacement. Belt was worn but here are some numbers I could make out R100 OR 51 1030 ( not sure if the numbers are totally correct) Where can I get a replacement belt for this and do the numbers I posted made sense?
I will also ask this on the loboy number series forum.
Thanks for all the help, Kirk
