Thanks bob
I've been helping a friend get his '65 lowboys going
Got it going & found no hydraulic pressure
He pulled the pump to find lock washer, nut missing & gear just
Flopping around.
So the nut & washer , I surmise are in the pan . . . . :x
Does anyone have a nut & washer used?
tM ? Correct price?? $40.64

I'm wondering if I should retrieve parts from pan or just leave 'em? :?:

The parts in the oil pan shouldn't be a problem. If this is a Cub new to your friend, an oil pan gasket is a lot cheaper than the parts, and the pan probably needs to be dropped and cleaned.

The nut is just a 3/8-24 jam nut. A 3/8” inside toothed lock washer can be substituted for the outrageously priced CaseIH tabbed lock washer.

fishing around in the oil drain with a magnet on a stick is even cheaper, but positive results are not as absolute as Bob's way. :D

This worked for me. YMMV.

Thanks for the replies guys - my friend purchased the washer
I consider it was the price it was because it was painted red ( lol)
