Cub Fuel Strainer

Postby Glen » Sat May 16, 2015 9:06 pm

Hi,
I thought I'd post this again, if you didn't see it before.
You probably all know how to clean the fuel strainer bowl on a Cub, but it's a lot easier to get to it if you move the Touch Control arms to the rear position before shutting off the fuel. If you have rods that go forward from the arms, it might be easier to get to the strainer if you take a rod off of the arm and move the rod out of the way. You might want to have a new gasket for the bowl before taking it apart too, and sometimes they need a new screen at the top, up above the gasket. Here's a picture. :)

Hi,
Also here's a page from the Cub parts book, showing the parts of the fuel strainer, if you never had one apart before you can see what is there. Click on the pic makes it bigger. :)
