Choke cable mounting for late model cub

Postby staninlowerAL » Sat May 16, 2015 9:54 pm

Would someone please post a picture of the rear tank support that shows the location of the choke cable mounting for a late model Cub (Longstripe)? I cannot find any details in the manuals. Thanks, Stan

IH just mounted it in the same slot where the choke rod for the older cubs went

Jim, Thanks. Having never seen one, I would have never guessed that the choke cable would pull out at an angle the way it does in the video. It saved IH having to retool the tank support to make it pull out straight in the face of the support. I also noticed that the starter pull rod is gone, due to the electric start solenoid switch change, I suppose. I've not checked the parts list but this probably happened at the time of the change. Thanks again. Stan

EDIT: Thanks also Tim.

Darn, my first thought was to say turn your audio on. I wasn't sure which comment would be the most insulting.

:) My environment does not usually lend itself to having the audio on. Oh well, "All is well that ends well", I got my lesson for today. I'm still amazed at the wealth of knowledge and the willingness to share on the forum. :D Stan
