I'm replacing my key ignition switch with a pull/push type. Need some help explaining the differences.
1. There is a wide spread in prices, from $11.80 to $39.95. Is this a factor of quality only?
2. Some state the switch is for a six volt electrical system and some don't mention voltage. Does a switch care about voltage? For the record my Cub was converted to 12 Volt.
3. Some switches have two screw type terminals and others have one screw type terminals.

Re: Battery ignition switch
1. Mostly, not always. Site sponsors would carry the better ones. TM Tractor/Hamilton Bob's
2. If it is heavy enough for 6V, it will easily handle 12V
3. Two terminals = Battery ignition one terminal = Magneto ignition. Not interchangeable.
Assumption would be 12V = battery ignition. (But not always)

Re: Battery ignition switch
IMHO - the original switch push-pull looks best and works best. I paid about $39 for mine - it looks, sounds and feels just like the original and by it's weight I except it will last just as long.

Re: Battery ignition switch
Unless they have changed the switches TM Tractor sells have the same size mount and knob screw as the original and you can put the original mounting nut and knob on it which makes it hard to tell it is not an original unless you look behind the dash.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Since my Cub has been converted to a 12V system, with a 12V coil, I assume this is a non-issue, right?
