My original 1955 Farmall Cub brochure says the non adjustable front axle was standard, and the adjustable front axle was extra cost. So I think they were that way ever since 1947, probably until 1979, but not sure if the newest ones had the non adjustable axle standard. Maybe someone else knows about that.
Here is a page from the 1947 Cub owner's manual, and a page from a 1975 Cub owner's manual, with a list of extra cost equipment. The adjustable front axle is shown on both pages. Click on the pics makes them bigger. :) ... age-54.jpg ... age-76.jpg

Not that it matters but it seems most Cubs were ordered with the adjustable axle making the std non-adjustable axle kinda rare - not worth any more or less - just uncommon. least around my neck of the woods.
Attachments - 193 plow - 144 cultivator - 22 mower - 28A disc harrow - 54 leveling blade - Woods 59C2 - drag harrows - Mott D9 flail - flat belt pulley
The squeaky wheel may get the grease but it's usually the first to be replaced!

Adjustable axle was needed for setting wheel spacing for many implements, so the non adjustable, wasn't of much use to the farmer.
