New head bolts vs reused head bolts

Postby staninlowerAL » Thu Jun 18, 2015 7:35 pm

Based on the majority of opinions expressed, I decided to get new bolts, got a complete set of grade 9, made in USA, from FASTENAL for about $28 plus shipping. Should be available by Monday. Thanks to all for their contributing information and opinions. Also found a later model head, part number 355 691 R2 to be delivered via Cub Express. Looks like it's all going to come together. Several other posts on this tractor, one is linked below. Stan

Good choice.
I use the grade 9 bolts from McMaster Carr and trim them to the exact length.

:Dito: I have found Mcmaster to be a better price both on products and shipping, plus shipping is much quicker, normally in my hands in 3 days time.
