Marketing 101. If you don't get your message out, with a descriptive, concise description and a CLEAR informative photo, most lookers will pass it on by. If you don't care enough to do this, you don't care enough to care for what your selling.

My favorite pet peeves:

1. Poor photos (blurry, 50 ft. away, taken inside facing open barn door on a sunny day, outside facing the sun)
2. No photos
3. Email for pics
4. Poor descriptions
5. No price
6. No location

Well, of course I thought of you when I saw this picture.

My other pet peeve. Some of these guys should hire someone to take the picture for them. :{_}:

What's wrong with the shadow? He's got the sun at his back like a good photographer :D Now if we could just get him to get more of the tractor and less of his shadow in the picture that would be an improvement. (Supposing the subject of the picture is the tractor and not his shadow  .)

I fail to see the issue with the advertising pictures.

Honey, I tried really hard to sell it. I can't believe that nobody called!

Looks like it was raining out and he didn't want to get wet so just take the photo thru the window with the screen on. bounce back when the flash went off. The Barred grill would give you a rough idea of the year but other than that why take the photo at all.

Because you can fix an old Farmall Cub, but you can't fix a complete lack of common sense.

I kinda like poor pictures. When I'm looking to buy something like an old tractor or implement, I want to be the one to spot the diamond in the rough. I don't mind at all if the seller makes it hard for everyone else. :D If its interesting enough and close enough, I'll go look at it.

The only thing that bugs me is when they slop new paint on something thinking it will increase the value. I made a guy pretty mad one time. I made a low-ball offer on a tractor, the guy asked me why I offered so far under his asking price. I was completely honest with him and told him I would have offered more but I didn't like the sloppy paint job, the over-spray all over the tires and all over the grass where the tractor still sat!! He asked me to leave.

"Son, if you ever pay good $$ for paint, make sure its still in the can." my Grandfather, ca. 1998, when I was looking for my first old tractor.

Here's a unique marketing technique, http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/grd/5115369432.html Maybe a little more of a bargain than most of us are looking for

Sellers hould probably edit their text the same time they edit the topic so they don't show two different prices.

The fcub is painted in camo. It's there but hard to see. I leave mine running to find it.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I don't think those in glass houses...........

What exactly is that under that Cub? I think it's a mower deck but what kind? Like Big Bill says, it's camo, kinda there but hard to see. Maybe it's a mirage mower? :D

I think this one is stored in the seller's attic and he didn't want to climb the steps to take this shot.
