Planter Questions

Postby Hoople1320 » Wed Jul 01, 2015 8:33 pm

I know this has probably been asked here many times, but I'm new so bear with me. I have a cub planter and I'm not sure which model it is. The part number on the hopper drive is 511914r1. Can anyone tell which planter it is, and where to find seed plate part numderso for it.

Best way to tell what you have is with pics. A lot of parts work across different models of planters

That would be a Single Seed hopper. They were sold mostly in the black dirt region of Texas. The bad news is they have a limited number of seed plates and they are a unique design so the can be a bit harder to find. However, they can be found with patience and because they are not well known they generally are not that expensive. They are pretty simple plates, mostly with round holes.

This is my go-to manual for implement parts including planters.

You have to hunt a bit because the drive and ground tools are in one section and the hopper and different packages of seed plates are under "common units"

I would love to find a Single Seed Corn and Pea hopper. It is the only one I don't have.

I tried to sell one with plates on here awhile back. Had two, in fact. Had to almost give them away :-/
