Rear rims

Postby wrz » Sun Jul 05, 2015 3:56 pm

On Friday's same topic it came out that 2 and 4 rivets on the square where for two different manufacturing companies. On my 47 F cub one rim has 3 rivet holding the square on the rim. So who made this style and is it very common?

I've never verified the connection between wheel companies and the number of rivets used. There were 4 different rim widths used on the Cub (5, 6, 7, and 8 inch). Each rim width required a different lug. The number of rivets could have varied with the width of the rim.
