fan housing oil capacity.

Postby coralhead » Sun Aug 02, 2015 4:10 pm

Is there to be approx. 5 ounces of 90 wt oil in the fan housing? I disassembled it and put in new gaskets. Thanks for any help.

No. The amount is just a few ounces. But it takes motor oil, same as in the crankcase. Get the proper amount by following the directions in the Owner's Manual. The manual also lists the proper amount.

I was looking at the belt pulley housing. Wrong end of the tractor.

5 oz of 90 weight (or 80W90 or HyTran) is about right to get the other end to the level plug.
