Cub bolt torque specs

Postby farmallcub1 » Fri Aug 28, 2015 6:05 pm

Hi all haven't been on the site in a while. We are Finally..Finally taking our cub apart!! :{_}: :{_}: Sandblasting all the major parts and stripping the rest with a wire cup brush>>>anyway things are going great putting her back together and curious if there is a chart for the bolt torque specs. All the bolts are a raised dot only, I know its a Ih bolt but is there a chart for the length etc. This is a 1953 Cub, I have 2 1968 cub cadets that have the slash marking on the bolts and there is a chart for those....any suggestions ?? Thanks

That and a parts book are two essential manuals for rebuilding a Cub. There is a table for general torque specs by bolt size, but the service manual gives you all the critical specs in the appropriate section. The one I linked to can be keyword searched.
