Search function, top of page, for generator trouble shooting. You should be able to find the chart. Following the chart will help diagnose your charging problem.workacub wrote:I guess that means I need to get my generator rebuilt.

sometimes the fuel tank cap vent gets plugged and will not allow fuel to flow as normal. When the engine has been run for a bit the heat from the engine helps pressurize the fuel tank above it with a plugged vent. When stopped for a short time it may restart until the tank pressure eases off then vacuum lock in the tank happens again. jb
