Apple time and the Cub

Well, it is Summer Rambo time. That's an early apple here, and it was time to use the rear carrier to haul some apples. Up the ladder, and down the ladder...with buckets of apples which were spilled into the rear carrier. Then we set up for making apple cider. First we used a freshly made apple grinder, and then we pressed the shredded up apples. The Cub looked on, knowing full well that it could have powered the grinder as well as the press, but carrying the apples was a job well done for it.

This is great work for a Cub. Here are some pictures of my pressing last year (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=86093). We are going to take this year off.

Yes, that's a home built rear carrier. Made it higher than the IH original, and put removable sides on it. My error was in using a small pipe for support from the FH tongue which was rectified by using a larger pipe. See viewtopic.php?f=1&t=83706&p=669407&hilit=rear+carrier#p669407
