Still working on the LOADER INSTALL

Postby Ricaroo » Sat Aug 13, 2005 10:19 am

Hi All

Received the hydraulic by-pass block in today’s mail. I need to remove my exhaust pipe and muffler so I can install the by-pass block however I also need to bend the exhaust pipe before I reinstall it. I am thinking of just replacing it with a new one and bend it before I install it.

Ok here is the question where can I buy a new exhaust pipe

Rick I can't help you with the exhaust but I see that you have a bolt and flat washer holding up the cycle bar mower. To the best of my knowledge that should be a taper headed bolt. They cut out wiggle and wear.
They are the ones similar to front wheel bolts on a cub or thse on a car.

Bill
You are correct, I haven't used the mower I put it on to see how it mounted and if it would mount with the loader attached

Underslung exhaust

Got one from TM a while back - just put it on today.

I know what you mean about the bypass block, my muffler runs just past the hydraulic plate, in fact I think it's touching slightly, so with the block you're sure to have some interference...

Rick, unless your pipe is in really bad shape you might want to reconsider replacement. The one I bought in 1997 was approaching $100.00 at Case-IH.
