I picked up a Cub for my fiancé over the weekend. It's serial number 20766 J. It has red paint up the yellow and wondered if it should be red and white? TM's color scheme page only covers up to 1963. What are the correct colors? Color numbers? What were the wheels and center hubs painted? Having trouble finding info. Thanks!
Thanks

1963 LoBoy paint scheme (except for the grille frame and grille sheets, which should be yellow). 1965 will be the same.

Re: 1965 International Loboy color
Federal Yellow and IH 935(?) white. Use IronGard (IH). The one pictured should have yeller doglegs and grill frame.
It's painted the same as any Yeller Cub, wheel centers and hood are white, everything else is Federal Yellow.

Re: 1965 International Loboy color
Thanks Don and Larry,
We probably will paint it up yeller but still curious about the red paint beneath the yeller. The deluxe seat frame gets painted black I assume?
Might bring the Cub to Cub Fest North East. Turns over but had a nasty gas tank and it needs a good cleaning which we will do tonight. Fluids and plugs have been changed.

Are you talking about the offset in the lower bar? The TM website shows several different ones with the offset for drive shaft clearance.

No, I wasn't but what you mentioned makes sense for drive shaft clearance. Thanks! No on the far side near the wire clam bucket, the vertical link are seems different than what I have seen.

Chris, The limited view of the bolster being red makes me wonder if it is a replacement.

Re: 1965 International Loboy color-pictures added
I thought that also Bob but the casting codes match up perfectly with the serial number. And there are other just red parts on the tractor and underneath everything yellow is red. It is like they wanted to keep some red and paint the rest yellow. Not exactly a crime scene investigation BUT...the bolster is red and the serial number tag has from what I can tell has never been removed or painted around. The bolster being red AND with the serial tag matching up to a 1965 makes me think this Cub was once red and white.

That makes sense now...but what about the bolster. The serial number has a J at the end and the numbers match up with the casting codes. Anyway...we want to paint it yeller and she loves her Cub even though she hasn't driven it yet. Maybe at Cecil's if we bring it and get it running.

Re: 1965 International Loboy color-pictures added
the bolster looks like red paint and the other areas aren't clear enough for me to tell. the way the paint is coming off,its like it has poor adhesion like on a repaint with poor prep.
